Individual summary

Reflecting on my work, what surprised me most on Twitter narrative is our optional development plots. We did not discuss in a group about the plots, and every person creates plots by themselves which made it very interesting to read. I adapt it very easily. I am proud of the ending because it was very ridiculous. I think the most useful media is vlog, because it sends much information to me. The vivid body language also makes me have a clear understanding of the things that the author wanted to convey to us. So the most enjoyable media is also vlog. It has more interesting to watch than other medias. The least useful media is Twitter, because the number of words is limited and we cannot describe the whole thing that we want to say actually. It will divide into many items. The least enjoyable media is blog but I do not know why. The points I want to change in our Twitter narrative is the ending, I will make it much happier than the old one.

Three topics

1. Taylor Swift's ex boyfriends.
2. How to have good mood in the terrible weather?
3. who has the biggest mouth among Angelina Jolie,  Julia Roberts, and Anne Hathaway?

Vlog

Vlog has many useful usages to our Twitter Narrative.  First of all, vlog can show our company’s background. It will be more interesting and clear than sentence by sentence, which can attract many people to pay attention to our bun company. A good vlog with some vivid process of making bun will be a good way to advertise our company. On the other hand, if there was a person who made a vlog about his feedback about our company. His followers can see this vlog. So the vlog will be spread very quickly, and many potential customers will be discovered. It is a kind of interesting and useful way to make our Twitter narrative more successful.

Paper from other class

                                          Corruption in Modern China
It is obvious that politic corruption in China has became a serious socio-political problem. From the era of Jiang Zeming, and Hu Jintao to our new chairman Xi Jinping, corruption has always hard to eradicate; many dignitaries use civil revenues to fund their high quality of life. This kind of ugly news is often reported in the newspaper. Some people show their strong discontent to the whole society. And a small part of people think there is no matter those leaders do these things in China. Officials’ corruption continues to be exposed, and these officials were sent to jail. Are Chinese leaders really serious about tackling with the political corruption? Or is this a show? Therefore, I propose several reasons arguing that anti-corruption is just a temporary stunt.
Corruption is totally widespread in the whole world not only in China, so to speak. In China nowadays, the phenomenon about corruption realistic. It is just a fantasy that the government creates to make people consider that the government can be incorruptible. Sometimes, the leaders of China always do things with some sounded slogan, but they cannot enforce on it.
For example, the vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress says, “When I think of that there are 10 million people in Guang Xi province are still suffering with poverty. As a chairman, I cannot sleep well.” Critically, the truth gives an opposite view. He grafted about 40 million Yuan with his mistress. Moreover, the ex-mayor Xiao Zuoxin from Anhui Fuyang city, said, “confronting corruption is a long-term task for us. And we should insist on punishing the phenomenon of corruption. Crackdown abuse of power for personal gain.” However, the same evening, he illegally received one million by abusing his social political status. These discourses seem to never end, which demonstrate the best evidences to show that anti-corruption is just a slogan. So in some ways, media as a kind of carrier, which conveys information is “running dog” for the government. They were controlled by the government to conceal these facts and leave us in the dark. Since Xi Jinping held the top chair last November, he called for a stop to excessive banquets. The policy was named as “four dishes and a soup.” Before the policy was put forward, the problem of extravagance and waste was very serious. Many officers used public funds to have a excessive banquet. At the beginning, it is said that this policy is quite effectual in my hometown. Some time later, things went differently. Less people would care about the policy. However, how long will this slogan make a effects? I do believe it is a small part on the way to anti-corruption. It is compared to the far greater challenge facing President Xi and his political peers in stopping corruption in our public life.
On the other hand, governments focus on the small problems but ignore the big issues on purpose. They just deal with the corruption typically. There is a heap of corrupt problems around them such as land expropriation, cities and towns removal and state-owned-enterprises reform. However, they put these things aside. Instead of this, they pay more attention to the non-critical problems which can be solved easily.
Even now, they still make use plenty of empty words in order to make all of us believe that they are good leaders. They make contributions to the society. If they always solve problems in this way, there is no way to eradicate corruption. There is another aspect of news which is reported recently in the newspaper. The deputy head of transport of Sichuan province was sentenced to the death because of bribes. On the contrary, it does not mention that the trial in Fujian province. It was the biggest corruption case in 51 years of communist rule that involved a trading company, with a multibillion-dollar smuggling and payoff scandal amid deep secrecy in Fujian. This scandal has tainted members of the elite ruling circle, among them, one of Jiang Zeming's relatives. The government has used occasional prosecutions of high-level officials to show the party’s determination to end rampant corruption that has eroded support for communist rule. It is obvious that there are many people involved in this big case. If people dig it out deeply, it will implicate more scandals.
Although there are many policies directed against the corruption, the leaders of China, as the models of the whole society, have responsibilities to give us confidence to trust them instead of trying every means to cheat us. However, business, the main character in “Chinese Corruption” always victimized during the fight with politics. Corruption is no longer a kind of “latent rules.” On the contrary, anti-corruption become a new “latent rules.” An official in Guangdong province who is examined, is shouting to the examiners angry. He shouted, “You said that I am a greedy official, but the main question is who is not a greedy official in the same level as me? In China, the situation is just like greedy officials examining other greedy officials with corruption promote corruption.” Since corruption in China is rampant, the government gets to choose which corruption can put into public.
From 2003 to 2009, prosecutors at all levels investigated more than 240,000 cases of embezzlement, bribery, dereliction of duty, and rights infringement, according to the report. From January to November, the Party's discipline watchdogs investigated 119000 graft cases, resulting in 113000 people being punished, of whom 4332 were prosecuted, said Wu Yuliang, secretary general of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of Communist Party of China, at a press conference. From 2005 until 2009, over 69200 cases of commercial bribery involving some 16.59 billion Yuan in funds were investigated, it said. In 2009, 7036 officials were held responsible for serious mistakes, breach of duty, and failure to manage and supervise subordinates. This task of curbing corruption remains arduous. China has undergone dramatic economic and social change, and the ideas and concepts of the people have altered, leading to increased social conflict. So the relevant mechanisms and systems are still incomplete.

Noah Feldman, a Bemis Professor of International Law says, “here's the key problem for corruption studies you don't have individual incentives for any one member of the party to limit corruption. You yourself would like to steal as much as you can get away with.” He thinks that the best way to solve this hard problem is political reform, which is not easy for us. So everyone is important to the society, and everyone will play an important role. Leaders will be changed during different periods. So they will have new power. But if everyone can use their power with integrity and responsibility, China would successfully overcome the challenges of corruption. We are not far away from “Great Unity.” In the future, to cement the fruits that reform has borne, an even greater effort is needed in the battle against corrupt behavior. Governments at all levels should take more effective measures to combat corruption. Laws already in effect must be strictly enforced. The implementation of anti corruption programs should target every part of China. Anti corruption agencies should intensify crackdown on bribery, and attach greater importance to the anti corruption campaign.

Entry 11

We can use different kinds of media in creating our own Twitter narrative  such as audio, video, and pictures. In addition, we can mixed these kinds of media to make the Twitter narrative more interesting and believable. For example, since our bun company had opened, many things had happened among three staff. The cause of this conflict was the chief said that Pumpkin was stealing ingredients from kitchen. However, no one believed her. the chief and waitress argued with each other. One day, the clearer found some photos in the trash bin about waitress and manager's dating. Things became curious. The manager finally sent a person into chief's room and found an audio. The chief had already fall in love with the waitress! What a ridiculous story! You can see, media plays an important role in this story. Through this way, the story came to obvious.

Entry 10

In this blog, the author gives us many ways to attract more followers in the twitter. First of all, you can follow many other people that maybe they will follow you back. However, this way is not very effective enough because people sometime will not get in touch with the person that they do not know only if you are worth to follow back. Therefore, the author tells us many other ways to get people’s attention.  The better way to get attention from people is being active and famous in Twitter and in this way you will get many fans. If you always quite, no one will know you. For example, you can publish some creative or interesting things that you discovered on your daily life so that other people who see it will report it, more people will know you and follow you.

Entry 9

There are many ways for Twitter bots that can be used in narrative of a story. In my opinion, Twitter bots can cause a conflict between two characters. For example, in the story of “Pace Picante Salsa”, Mike Leidtke liked all tweets rather than the contents of others’ tweets. It began with the Twitter bots, which made the story very interesting and attract much people. In addition, it can be basic underlays of the latter conflicts, which can make the whole story develop more smoothly. Finally, we can use Twitter bots to make a judgment and make people follow more easily.
